Reports to: Director of Business Development
Job Summary:
The Order Entry Specialist is responsible for accurately and efficiently processing customer orders from purchase order to invoice. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring timely order delivery and customer satisfaction.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Enter customer orders promptly and accurately
- Verify order accuracy, including product, pricing, and shipping information
- Process invoices daily for all shipments from the warehouse
- Keep detailed records of orders and shipments
- Compile and process inventory adjustments in multiple systems
- Collaborate with account managers and warehouse to address any order-related issues
- Ensure all order processing activities comply with company policies and procedures
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to multitask
- Able to type 50-60 words per minute with great accuracy
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience with order management systems
- Learns quickly and open to learning new skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience in order processing or related field required
