Role Description The Order Processing Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Medford, MA, responsible for managing the end-to-end lifecycle of customer orders. This role includes entering and validating sales orders, coordinating purchase orders, tracking order status, and ensuring accurate and timely fulfillment. The specialist collaborates closely with sales, procurement, and logistics teams to resolve discrepancies, update customers, and maintain up-to-date records in the order management system. Day-to-day responsibilities also involve verifying product availability, preparing order documentation, handling order changes or cancellations, and supporting invoicing and shipment activities. This position requires consistent, professional communication with internal stakeholders and customers to ensure a smooth, reliable ordering experience.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Order Processing and Order Management, including accurate data entry and monitoring of order status from initiation to fulfillment.
- Candidates should possess skills related to Sales Order Processing and Purchase Orders, including creating, reviewing, and coordinating orders with suppliers and internal teams.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills, with the ability to interact clearly and professionally with customers, vendors, and colleagues.
- Relevant experience in industrial parts distribution, manufacturing, or supply chain operations is beneficial.
- Proficiency with ERP or order management systems and solid MS Office skills (especially Excel) are preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and capacity to work in a fast-paced environment are important.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; additional education in business, logistics, or a related field is an advantage.
