What does the position entail and require?
Our Volunteer Board of Directors have the ultimate responsibility for guiding our credit union. One must be loyal to the credit union, act in good faith, and make decisions to benefit the credit union and its members. Our board members are diligent, timely, detailed, curious, focused, and open to giving and seeing new perspectives.
What is the time commitment?
Our board members meet monthly with the credit union executive team to discuss credit union operations and financials, and each member serves on a sub-committee that meets quarterly.
What is the term?
Our board members are elected to serve a 3 year term.
How many board positions are there?
Our board can have up to 9 members and 3 advisory directors.
Board Member Selection Criteria
Member of Energy Capital Credit Union in good standing
Demonstrated leadership and decision-making capabilities (work place, credit union, and/or community)
Must provide qualified references, if requested
High level of commitment and interest in serving on Board- Background and credit checks conducted on each applicant, with his/her approval
