Senior Audit Analyst

*This is NOT a remote position. The role is hybrid and requires 2 days in office each week.

Position Summary

This position will be involved in the planning and execution of operational / financial and SOX audits, as well as managing special projects and initiatives, as needed. This includes the application of effective communication and critical thinking in order to assess risks and identify process improvements, while completing audits and projects in a timely manner. These results have to be achieved in a manner that enhances the overall organization, and this is accomplished through using the following competencies: Teamwork, Influence, Collaboration, Initiative, Customer Focus, Critical Thinking, and Achieving Results.

Responsibilities

• Perform planning activities for audit projects, based on risk and objectives to ensure the audit is efficient and effective.
• Lead and execute the audit program with adequate supporting documentation to complete the audit.
• Support teamwork by providing guidance and coaching to less experienced coworkers.
• Good time management and actively monitor team’s progress to ensure audit timelines are met.
• Evaluate and document business processes and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Identify potential control weaknesses, irregularities, discrepancies, and deviations from prescribed procedures, policies, and practices to help the Company improve performance and meet regulatory requirements.
• Communicate to auditee the objectives and results of the audit in written and verbal form.
• Provide internal control guidance in an advisory manner.
• Professional certification (CPA, CIA, CMA, etc.)
• Public accounting experience
• Prior consumer product industry experience and/or manufacturing experience
• Prior experience with data extraction/analysis in an SAP ECC and S/4 HANA environment
• Proficient with data analysis tools (i.e., ACL, PowerBI, etc.)
• Multi-language skills, particularly Spanish
• This position reports administratively to the Manager Internal Audit but will take on various roles within the audit project team based on specific projects assigned.
• This position requires someone who is a team player and is open to diversity, as they will work with Energizer Colleagues around the world.

What we are looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or related field
• 3 years of auditing experience or applicable business experience
• Basic knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley, auditing theory and practice, accounting and finance, and general familiarity with information systems controls
• Strong business acumen
• Good analytical and critical thinking skills
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a project team
• Project management and leadership skills
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio)
• Position requires travel from 15% to 25%, primarily international
