Responsibilities
Imagine a day whereyou'redesigning the backbone of the power grid-draftingand designingsubstationprotection drawingsthat keep energy flowing safely. You collaborate with engineers across disciplines, solve real-world challenges, and see your designs come to life in the field. Every detail you contribute will help power entire communities-safely, reliably, and sustainably.
- Substation Design & Drafting: Develop electric substation drawings, including schematics, wiring diagrams, control panel layouts, and control building layouts.
- Engineering Analysis & Calculations: Perform substation design calculations and analysis such as voltage drop and conduit fill.
- Collaboration & Quality Assurance: Work closely with peers to ensureaccurateand on-time delivery of electrical design that meets client and industry standards, specifications, and good engineering practices
- Field Support: Providing on-site technical support forselectENERCON clients during construction and commissioning asrequired
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum of3years of experience in Substationdesigning, with a primary focus on executing protection and control projects
- Familiarity with relay protection schemes
- Experience with MicroStation and AutoCAD
- Willingness to enter energized electric substations with proper training and PPE
- Must be self-driven in time management to meet deadlines and provideaccuratedeliverables, with the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
- Must be proficient with typical office software including Microsoft Windows and Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Willingness to travel for client site visits and project meetings
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in electric utility industry, preferably in fast-paced consulting environment
- 500kV substationdesignexperience
Pay Range
USD $65,600.00 - USD $90,000.00 /Yr.

When salary range is listed it reflects typical compensation for this role based on level and location. Actual pay depends on experience, skills, and education.
