Endurance Group is actively seeking a Systems Engineer to support the Joint Interagency Coordination Group (JIACG) in Arlington, Virginia. The Deputy of Capability Development / Systems Engineer provides technical and analytical support to the Capabilities Development Director within the Joint Interagency Coordination Group (JIACG), Front Office of the Secretary of War. The position is responsible for developing, managing, and tracking the Engineering Development Plan (EDP), ensuring that all technical activities, test events, and performance milestones are achieved on schedule. The position plays a key role in integrating engineering objectives with program timelines and provides technical insight to leadership on progress, risk, and system readiness.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and maintain the Engineering Development Plan (EDP) in coordination with the Capabilities Development Director.
- Track engineering tasks and milestones to ensure alignment with program objectives and the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
- Coordinate with the Director to synchronize engineering deliverables and test milestones within the broader program execution plan.
- Monitor technical progress and provide routine updates, identifying risks, dependencies, and required mitigation actions.
- Support the planning, coordination, and documentation of all test and evaluation events, including readiness reviews, data collection, and analysis.
- Advise the Capabilities Development Director on engineering progress, performance metrics, and technical challenges.
- Prepare technical documentation, presentations, and status reports for senior leadership and oversight stakeholders.
- Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to ensure systems integration and performance objectives are met.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- 5–10 years of systems engineering experience supporting complex defense, aerospace, or technology development programs.
- Demonstrated experience developing and managing engineering schedules and test milestones.
- Proven ability to translate technical requirements into actionable engineering tasks and track performance metrics.
- Strong understanding of test and evaluation processes, systems integration, and configuration management.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, or Aeronautical Engineering required; Master’s preferred.
- Background: Experience with aeronautical engineering projects highly desired.
- Clearance: Active TS/SCI required at time of hire.

Supervision and Reporting
Reports directly to the Capabilities Development Director, JIACG. Coordinates closely with the Project Lead, Chief of Staff, and other program management staff to ensure engineering milestones remain synchronized with overall program objectives and timelines.
Work Environment / Travel
Work is primarily conducted within the Arlington, VA area in a secure, classified environment. Occasional travel to test facilities, contractor sites, or interagency coordination meetings may be required (up to 10%).
