Facilities Maintenance Technician II
At Endress Hauser, progress happens by working together. As the global leader in measurement instrumentation, our ~17.000 employees shape the future in the field of process automation. Whether developing and realizing new technology as a team, collaborating to build instrumentation, or strengthening vital relationships with countless global industries, we work to create trusted relationships that help everyone thrive. As a family-owned company, we look beyond short-term moves and work to create a vision that is forward-thinking for our people, our clients, and the world at large.

We are looking for a Facilities Maintenance Technician II to join our team and help ensure the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of our building systems, utilities, and facility infrastructure. This is a hands-on, mid-level role focused on preventive maintenance, safe work practices, and responsive site support—with electrical troubleshooting skills used as needed.

What is the role about?
Do you enjoy hands-on facilities maintenance—keeping HVAC, plumbing, and general building systems running smoothly? Are you the type of person who spots risks early and takes pride in preventive maintenance and clean, organized work areas? Do you like supporting internal customers by quickly resolving building and meeting-space needs? In this role, you’ll work closely with the Facilities Manager, internal site stakeholders, and external contractors to keep our facility operating safely and reliably, with occasional electrical troubleshooting support as needed.

Which tasks will you perform?
You will:

  • Perform and support preventive maintenance on facility systems (HVAC, compressed air, plumbing, doors/locks/building envelope).
  • Execute general building repairs (patching, mounting, minor carpentry, painting touch-ups, and safety-related fixes) and complete work orders.
  • Conduct routine facility inspections; identify and address safety hazards, wear, abnormal conditions, water intrusion, and housekeeping concerns.
  • Apply safe work practices including Lockout/Tagout, PPE selection, ladder safety, and safe tool use; support audits and corrective actions.
  • Provide basic electrical troubleshooting and maintenance support as needed (e.g., panels, breakers, disconnects, lighting circuits, receptacles, and emergency/egress lighting) following site safety and qualification requirements.
  • Use appropriate tools (e.g., multimeter, clamp meter; megger if qualified) to help diagnose issues and document findings when electrical support is required.
  • Support the reliability of motors, pumps, fans, VFDs, actuators, and related equipment; assist with low-voltage/control checks and coordinate with controls vendors for advanced work as needed.
  • Set up and reconfigure modular conference rooms for meetings/events; provide quick-response support for power/comfort and facility-related issues.
  • Record PM findings, labor, parts, and failure descriptions in the CMMS; recommend improvements to PM plans and spare parts.
  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure safe access, scope clarity, and quality completion; participate in on-call/after-hours response as required.

What do we expect from you?
You:

  • High school diploma or GED required (technical diploma/trade school preferred).
  • 3 years of facility, industrial, or commercial maintenance experience (including the ability to troubleshoot basic electrical issues as needed).
  • Ability to interpret basic schematics/diagrams and equipment manuals (electrical and mechanical).
  • Working knowledge of standard safety practices (including Lockout/Tagout) and electrical hazard awareness.
  • Strong safety mindset, organized work habits, and disciplined troubleshooting approach.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple work orders while communicating status clearly with stakeholders.
  • Valid driver’s license; ability to complete required training/certifications (e.g., LOTO, OSHA, CPR/First Aid, PIVs) as needed.

What can you expect from us?

  • Family-owned, highly committed global company with a sustainable vision of the future.
  • Lifelong learning encouraged by versatile training, tuition reimbursement, success coaching, and further education opportunities.
  • Comprehensive benefit package (to include medical, dental, vision) and 401(k) savings with company match.
  • Compensation is competitive and includes bonus opportunities.
  • Work-life balance encouraged through our 10 company-paid holidays, paid time off, paid parental leave, employee assistance programs (financial, mental, and physical health and wellbeing), and employee discounts.
  • Employees work in a safety-first, climate controlled, clean manufacturing facility with utilization of Lean practices and ergonomic workstations to enhance productivity and comfort.
  • On-site amenities such as cafeteria, gym, health clinic, and ergonomic support, to foster a convenient and health-conscious workplace environment.
