Locations: Waunakee, WI & Arlington, WI
Shift: 1st shift; 6:00AM - 3:30PM
Key Responsibilities
- Support maintenance of facility systems as needed while prioritizing production equipment uptime and reliability.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical production equipment, including welders, saws, conveyors, cranes, compressors, plasma cutting and fabrication machinery.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems involving bearings, gearboxes, chains, belts, couplings, and drive components.
- Diagnose issues and complete assigned mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Calibrate manufacturing equipment, verify output settings, and ensure machines meet production and quality requirements per manufacturer specifications.
- Inspect and replace worn mechanical components to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Responsible for performing duties specified in the schedule as per instructions from Maintenance Supervisor.
- Assist with machinery alignment, equipment modifications, and mechanical upgrades to new and existing machinery and facility.
- Drive forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts and other types of equipment.
- Work individually and collaborate as a team with other personnel to complete projects and repairs in a timely manner.
- Train and mentor less-experienced maintenance personnel when appropriate.
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED required; technical degree, vocational training, maintenance certification, or apprenticeship preferred. Industrial maintenance, manufacturing maintenance, mechanical repair, or related experience required, with structural steel, fabrication, machining, or heavy manufacturing experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial production equipment, including bearings, shafts, gearboxes, chains, belts, couplings, motors, and power transmission systems.
- Working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems, with the ability to safely diagnose and resolve equipment issues, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and support equipment reliability initiatives.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and equipment drawings; familiarity with industrial cranes, compressors, welding equipment, and structural steel fabrication machinery is a plus.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and automated systems; experience with maintenance management systems (Maintain X) is beneficial.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize, and complete maintenance tasks independently while supporting production schedules, safety requirements, and team objectives.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills with a strong commitment to workplace safety and effective collaboration across production, operations, and management teams.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to grip, grasp, push, pull, reach, and stoop as needed.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently.
- Ability to bend, twist, kneel, and work in tight or awkward spaces.
- Ability to climb in, out, and around equipment and perform overhead work.
- Must wear required PPE as needed.
- Ability to work at elevated heights.

Pay: $26.00 - $35.00 per hour
