Job Summary
The Endoscopy Technician plays a vital role in the healthcare team, assisting physicians during endoscopic procedures. Duties
- Prepare and maintain endoscopic equipment and instruments for procedures.
- Assist physicians during endoscopic examinations by providing necessary support and ensuring patient comfort.
- Ensure adherence to aseptic techniques to prevent infection.
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations and assist in medical imaging as required.
- Maintain accurate records of procedures performed, including patient information and equipment used.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure a smooth workflow within the endoscopy unit.
- Educate patients about the procedure and post-procedure care.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology to assist effectively during procedures.
