REGISTERED NURSE - ENDOSCOPY - 40 HOURS WEEKLY - DAY SHIFT

Schedule: Day Shift, Four 10-hour shifts per week, Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Rotating on call, weekends and holidays required.
Unit Description:
Henry Ford St John Hospital’s Endoscopy Department is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team! We are a fast-paced department than conducts approximately 20-30 procedures per day. Our team consists of Registered Nurses, Endoscopy Technicians, CRNAs and physicians. In this role, you will rotate between pre-op, procedural and post-operative responsibilities.
We primarily work the day shift, Monday through Friday, with rotating call on the evenings and weekends. We enjoy flexibility in our scheduling practices, and work as a team to provide coverage.

- Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
- Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family.
- Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team.
- Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- BSN preferred.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
- Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
- Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Prior Critical Care nursing experience.
