PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
CLINICAL
1. Deliver direct nursing care to patients in the Endoscopy Center.
2. Assess patient upon arrival to the Endoscopy Center and throughout entire stay.
3. Prepare rooms, equipment and supplies to accommodate the patient load.
4. Assist physicians with procedures.
5. Monitor patients before, during and after procedures.
6. Provide patient education.
7. Clean and/or disinfect instrument and equipment.
8. Document on all forms required.
9. Supervises LPN's and non-licensed personnel.
10. Makes post procedure phone calls.
INTERPERSONAL
1. Maintain open and positive communication with nursing personnel and other health professionals.
2. Communicate with patients, families/significant others.
3. Maintain professionalism within the Endoscopy unit.
4. Maintain confidentiality of patient and personnel information.
5. Participate in continuing education programs.
6. Participate in risk management and quality assurance activities.
7. Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Valid New York StateLicensure as an RN with at least 1 year experience in patient care.
Required Knowledge and Skill:
Good clinical assessment skills, flexibility and basic computer skills.

Pay: $34.00 - $38.00 per hour
