What are the responsibilities and job description for the Guitar Instructor position at Endless Music LLC?
Here we grow again! Seeking to add a new part-time Guitar Instructor to our Guitar Instruction Team at Endless Music LLC-the largest Private Music Studio and Full-Service Retail Music Store in the Endless Mountain Region located in Tunkhannock, PA for almost 23 years.
We are seeking an experienced Guitar instructor that can teach beginner thru intermediate players ranging from young thru adult students. (Ability to teach advanced level guitar and /or other instruments is always a plus but not mandatory-as most players are beginner intermediate who desire to simply play in a band or the school Jazz Band). Must be able to teach reading, chords and standard lead scale(s) (i.e. Pentatonic Blues Scales and Box Scales; Modes are a plus). Must be able to teach students theoretical and rudimental guitar lessons and dedicate a portion of the lesson to teaching desired song(s) by customers (students) which may include Pop, Rock, Blues, occasional Hard Rock/Metal and Christian.
We are presently seeking an instructor to take over approximately 3 weekday evenings from around 2pm to 8pm and building up a possible fourth evening in the near future. The schedules do vary with enrollment. Our office/counter staff recruit, schedule, collect payments and enforce company polices with all students/parents/guardians. Our instructors can focus on doing what they enjoy most-teaching.
Lessons are conducted onsite in our modern lesson studios. Our Master Guitar Instruction studio includes all necessary instruments to use-including an electric guitar, acoustic guitar, bass, banjo, ukelele and mandolin along with electric guitar amp (Boss Katana 50), Peavey Acoustic Amp, Peavey Bass amp and a Boss Katana Mini Amp for student use. This is a great opportunity for a very stable and regular supplemental income. If you teach additional instruments-we can strive to achieve as many lessons/ work shifts as you would like.
This job obviously requires preparation, punctuality, positivity, enthusiasm and dedication toward teaching music to all ages of students. We want dependable and reliable teachers whom are "hungry, humble, honest and smart".
This role positively changes the lives of our students as they become accomplished musicians -and yours with the reward of this positive success. Many of our current instructors have been commonly employed here for several to over 10 years! The world needs more new great musicians and music more than ever. Help us achieve that goal.
