Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Custodian to join our team and help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks across our facilities to ensure they meet high standards of cleanliness and safety. Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of all areas, including floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common spaces, using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies.
- Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain a pristine appearance.
- Handle janitorial responsibilities, including trash removal, restocking supplies, and sanitizing surfaces to promote a healthy environment.
- Carry out custodial tasks such as window cleaning, dusting, and disinfecting high-touch areas to prevent the spread of germs.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks, including minor repairs, painting, and upkeep of equipment and fixtures.
- Follow safety protocols and proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to prioritize tasks and complete assignments efficiently.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in custodial, janitorial, or facilities maintenance roles, with a strong background in cleaning and floor care.
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques, including buffing and polishing.
- Experience with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs and painting is preferred.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment, including floor buffers and industrial cleaning machines.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good physical stamina, with the ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
