What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shuttle/Van Driver position at Endicott College?
Endicott’s Student Affairs Department is seeking a part-time Shuttle/Van Driver who can foster a welcoming and safe environment aboard the campus shuttle.

The Shuttle/Van driver is an integral part of supporting student life at Endicott College and someone with excellent customer service skills would be a perfect fit. Whether students wish to explore the Beverly area, have access to grocery stores, or to take the train into Boston, Endicott transportation is about getting the students off-campus and into the community to explore, learn, and embrace the Greater Boston area. Our campus shuttle is free to students, faculty, and staff whenever the College is in session.
This position is part-time (approx. 28 hours/week), operates on the academic calendar and only works when classes are in session The Shuttle/Van driver will not work summers, winter breaks, or any other school holiday. The available shift is Monday - Friday 1:30 - 7:00pm. There will also be opportunities to work weddings and other school-wide events through the academic year and over the summer.
As Shuttle/Van Driver you will be responsible for:
- Operating the passenger van
- Servicing the schedule in an efficient and timely manner
- Abiding by local and federal motor vehicle regulations
- Reporting on the condition of the vehicle
- Obeying Endicott vehicle protocols
- Fostering a welcoming environment on board the vehicle
Qualifications:
- Must have a current and valid driver’s license
- Good driving record subject to background check
- Excellent people skills;
- Problem solving ability.
- Previous experience in driving preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with passengers in a customer service role
