General Responsibilities:

Direct and manage multiple concurrent engineering projects while ensuring their success in meeting their respective objectives.

Implement approved engineering budgets and monitor actual expenses to ensure they fall within budgets, analyzing out of budget expenses and ensuring they are offset in other areas of the project unless fully justified.

Consult or negotiate with clients to finalize engineering project specifications.

Present engineering plans, progress status updates and situations to project stakeholders and financiers.

Review and approve proposed engineering designs and subsequent product and process enhancements or changes.

Knowledge of FMVSS and State School Bus Requirements.

Understanding of Manufacturing Processes.

Long and varied hours required occasionally.

Exposure to fumes, chemicals, and toxic items that require training for haz-mat.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or balance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Solidworks and other CAD systems.
Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

3-5 years of experience in the pertinent engineering field is an advantage

FEA experience preferred

Salary : $80,000 - $120,000
