VP - Construction/Development Due Diligence

VP, Construction / Development Due Diligence | Global PE Firm | Real Estate

We are working with a global asset manager that is looking for a VP to join their fast-paced real estate team, and own due diligence for multiple RE PE funds deploying capital in office, industrial, retail, and data centers.

This role will support / lead due diligence execution for the acquisition of stabilized assets, and more importantly, ground-up construction / development (build-to-suit). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing engineering, environmental, construction, and legal due diligence, and be comfortable managing both internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities :

• Review all property due diligence such as title, survey, zoning, leases, insurance, and taxes
• Prepare checklists, created diligence timelines and key date tracking, manage all due diligence documents, facilitate diligence review among multiple departments,
• Prepare and maintain accurate documents to include, Request for Information (RFI’s), Letter of Intent (LOI’s) and Request for Proposal (RFP’s)
• Work cross-functionally with deal teams in acquisitions, portfolio management, and legal
• Due diligence analysis - including reports and documentations such as property condition, purchase agreement, loan documentation, and environmental permitting
• Review, understand, and summarize complex real estate documents for transactional lead review
• Coordinate contracts for various vendors. Ensure that adequate services are available for employees
• Order, coordinate, and serve as project manager for various reports
• Work with outside counsel, vendors, and municipalities as required by transactions
