Exciting opportunity to join Endeavor Health Medical Group in the Gastroenterology Department at the Elmhurst and Edward campus.
Endeavor Health is seeking an Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Specialist dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions, with a primary focus on inflammatory bowel disease, including Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. In addition to caring for IBD patients, the specialist may also evaluate and manage patients with liver disease, acid reflux, Barrett’s esophagus, celiac disease, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), fatty liver disease, viral hepatitis, pancreatic and biliary disorders, gastrointestinal cancers, and other gastrointestinal conditions. Over time, the role will transition to a predominantly IBD-focused practice as the IBD patient population continues to grow.
Reporting to Physician Executive or designee, Gastroenterologist provides comprehensive physician services to assess, diagnose, plan and treat a wide range of patients with health issues/illness or injury within Endeavor Health facilities – specifically Edward and Elmhurst Hospital region. Collaborates with inter-disciplinary healthcare team to provide comprehensive clinical coordination of patient care resulting in integrated health care that is timely, high quality, customer focused and utilizes resources effectively to optimize patient outcomes.
The selected candidate will also be supporting the growth in the Naperville, IL market with development of a GI presence on the Edward Hospital campus. The call will be shared with the Elmhurst market GI Physician team.

- Position: Physician - Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD)
- Location: Elmhurst & Edward Hospitals
- Full Time: 1.0 FTE, 34 Patient-facing hours
- Schedule: Monday to Friday along with weekday and weekend call rotation.
- Setting: Mix of Clinic, Hospital (inpatient), and Endoscopy Lab
- Robust PCP & Specialty Care Network
- Inpatient support with an existing GI Hospitalist
- 24/7 Hospitalist & Intensivist programs with shared EMR- Epic
- Experienced Advanced Practice Provider support in both the clinic and hospital settings
- 2-year salary guarantee from $319K-$740K. As a valued member of an integrated team, your placement within the pay range is dependent on a variety of factors, including but not limited to FTE, prior experience, certifications, degrees, subspecialties, projected volumes, and quality performance.

Qualifications
- Illinois medical license in good standing or pending
- DEA/Substance Controlled license
- Board certified or Board eligible Gastroenterologist
- Participation in national GI/endoscopy societies is highly desirable
