HOSPITAL MEDICINCE: Advanced Practice Provider (APP)

Position Highlights

• Position: Advanced Practice Provider (APN/PA) – Division of Hospital Medicine
• Location: Swedish and NorthShore Hospital, Chicago, IL
• Full Time/Part Time: Per Diem
• Hours:

Our Advanced Practice Providers are integral members of a multidisciplinary medical group. The Advance Practice Provider performs comprehensive care in the inpatient setting. Working in a collaborative environment, the team consults with referring providers, nurses, and outpatient clinics.

What You Will Need

• License: Advanced Practice Licensure (APN) or Physician Assistant Licensure (PA) in the State of IL required; Federal DEA and Illinois Controlled Substance License required
• Certification: BLS/CPR certification required
• Experience: Prior APN/PA experience in Adult Medicine, ER, Internal Medicine, or Hospitalist Medicine preferred.
  
  

What You Will Do

• Provide comprehensive health assessments, differential diagnosis, and prescribe treatments under the protocol in the direct management of acute and chronic illness and disease.
• Provide patient education to promote wellness and prevent illness and injury for individuals, families, and communities.
• Work autonomously and in interdisciplinary teams
• Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
