Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify speech, language, and communication needs in pediatric patients
- Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with patient goals and developmental milestones
- Deliver engaging speech therapy sessions using evidence-based techniques suitable for children of various ages
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure consistent progress
- Monitor patient progress regularly, adjusting therapy strategies as needed to maximize outcomes
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress notes in compliance with healthcare standards
- Support early intervention programs by identifying developmental delays early and implementing appropriate therapies
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with older populations in Long term care clinical settings is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of speech therapy techniques tailored for older adults with diverse needs
- Familiarity with patient assessment tools and developmental screening methods
- Understanding of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to speech-language pathology
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or equivalent credential required
- Passion for patient care with a focus on older adults and early intervention strategies
