What are the responsibilities and job description for the Personal Trainer / Small-Group Fitness Coach position at End Rezults Fitness?
PERSONAL TRAINER / SMALL-GROUP FITNESS COACH
End Rezults Fitness | Fort Mill and Rock Hill, South Carolina
Part-time W-2 employee | In-person, mobile and community-based
Target onboarding start: October 30-November 13, 2026
BUILD YOUR COACHING CAREER WITH ERF
End Rezults Fitness brings personal training and nutrition coaching to clients through mobile, virtual, and community-based services. We help people build strength, improve conditioning, and develop consistent habits through individualized coaching and accountability.
We are hiring one dependable, personable trainer to develop alongside Coach Marlon. This role begins with paid onboarding and supervised coaching, followed by agreed client sessions or community-class assignments. Additional hours can grow with enrollment and demonstrated coaching readiness.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver personal-training sessions and adaptable small-group strength and conditioning classes within your qualifications and ERF programming standards.
- Coach beginners, older adults, and clients with differing abilities using clear instruction, appropriate modifications, and encouragement.
- Prepare sessions, check equipment and space, and maintain a safe, organized training environment.
- Follow documented activity restrictions and escalate concerns to Coach Marlon.
- Record attendance, session notes, progress, and follow-up needs using ERF systems, including PT Distinction.
- Complete assigned client check-ins and communicate professionally.
- Follow ERF standards for punctuality, confidentiality, cancellations, emergency response, and incident reporting.
- Support a welcoming community experience and introduce interested participants to appropriate ERF services.
- Participate in onboarding, supervised practice, and coaching feedback.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- Current personal-training certification from a nationally recognized organization, such as NASM, ACE, ACSM, or NSCA.
- Current CPR/AED certification before client-facing assignments.
- Ability to coach exercise safely and adapt sessions within professional scope.
- Reliable attendance, strong communication, and a client-centered approach.
- Ability to travel reliably to agreed locations and fulfill accepted assignments.
- For driving assignments: a valid driver's license, current auto insurance meeting applicable requirements, and access to a reliable vehicle suitable for assigned equipment. Vehicle ownership is not required.
- Comfort with smartphone-based scheduling, coaching, and documentation tools.
- Willingness to follow ERF standards and receive constructive feedback.
Preferred: small-group, beginner, or older-adult coaching experience; exercise science or related education; community wellness, mobile training, or PT Distinction experience.
DRIVING AND MOBILE ASSIGNMENTS
Travel may be required between client homes and community venues. Mobile assignments require safe driving, punctual arrival, and safe transport of assigned equipment. Maintain the license and insurance required for accepted assignments and promptly report changes affecting driving eligibility. Any driving-record screening will be role-relevant and conducted with appropriate authorization. Before mobile work begins, ERF will provide written travel expectations, mileage reimbursement terms, compensable travel-time procedures, and any business-use insurance requirements. This role does not include transporting clients.
PAID ONBOARDING
- Two-week initial period, five paid hours per week.
- $20/hour gross pay: $100 per week and $200 over the planned ten hours.
- Week one: orientation, observation, and assisting. Week two: supervised coaching and feedback.
- All required work time is recorded and paid; additional required training is paid. Ten hours is the planned schedule, not a payment cap.
- Independent delivery starts after demonstrated readiness, not automatically after two weeks.
ONGOING COMPENSATION AND ADVANCEMENT
For each workweek, regular straight-time earnings are the GREATER OF:
1. $20 multiplied by ALL hours worked, including required preparation, documentation, meetings, and compensable work travel; OR
2. Applicable revenue-share earnings for eligible coaching delivered that week.
These amounts are compared, NOT added together. Earned referral bonuses and applicable overtime are additional. All amounts are gross wages; ERF pays employer payroll costs separately.
Revenue-share tiers:
- Developing: 30% starting tier.
- Established/experienced: 35% starting or earned tier.
- Elite: 40% earned advancement.
The starting tier is stated in the written offer. An initial review occurs around 90 days, followed by reviews approximately every 90 days. Advancement considers competency, professionalism, punctuality, documentation, client retention/engagement, and appropriate business development. Advancement is not automatic.
Eligible coaching revenue is client payment actually collected by ERF and allocated to sessions the trainer delivers, excluding sales tax. Package revenue is divided by purchased session count; group-session revenue includes each participant's paid allocation. Only the assigned delivering trainer receives that allocation; co-coached allocations are agreed in writing beforehand. ERF does not subtract loan repayments, processing fees, venue cost, or employer taxes from this revenue basis.
If a client pays after delivery, payroll attributes payment to the service workweek and pays any additional share above the floor already paid, with applicable overtime adjustments. The hourly floor is paid on the regular payday regardless of client collection delays. Required administrative work is paid even without a coaching session. Detailed timekeeping and allocation procedures accompany the written offer.
REFERRAL AND LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
- $75 for an eligible new private-training client after the first paid month.
- $25 for an eligible new recurring group member after the first paid month.
A qualifying new client must not already be an active ERF client or existing prospect. The introduction must be recorded before consultation/enrollment. One referring trainer receives one bonus per new client. The first paid month is complete when the first monthly recurring package is paid and its first service month ends, without a full refund or reversal before the bonus is earned. Trials alone do not qualify. Earned bonuses are paid on the next regular payroll after eligibility is established, subject to any earlier legal payment deadline. Already earned bonuses are not forfeited because employment ends.
Future lead-trainer mentoring/quality duties may carry separately agreed leadership compensation. A lead role, stipend, or additional hours are not guaranteed.
SCHEDULE AND GROWTH
The initial commitment is five onboarding hours per week for two weeks. Ongoing assignments and schedules are agreed before independent coaching; minimum ongoing weekly hours are not guaranteed. Primarily Fort Mill and Rock Hill, with Charlotte assignments possible by agreement. Exact locations/availability are discussed during interviews. Written timekeeping, payday, and travel policies are provided before work starts.
HOW TO APPLY
Apply with your resume, certifications, weekly availability, areas you can reliably serve, and a brief introduction. Include experience with beginners, older adults, or small groups.
Selection includes an introductory conversation, coaching interview, reference checks, and role-appropriate screening. Productive client-work assessments are paid. Shadowing requires appropriate client/property permission and confidentiality arrangements.
End Rezults Fitness considers candidates based on qualifications and ability to perform the role. Reasonable accommodation requests are welcome during the application process.
