About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Wound Care Nurse to provide local wound care and non-contact debridement services to patients in nursing facilities. This role requires clinical wound assessment expertise, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with advanced practice providers and facility staff.
Responsibilities
- Administer local wound care and perform non-contact debridement procedures for assigned patients.
- Conduct thorough clinical wound assessments and document follow-up care in a timely manner.
- Collaborate effectively with advanced practice nurses and nursing facility staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Maintain accurate treatment schedules and adhere to patient visit frequency requirements.
- Ensure compliance with state regulations and organizational standards of care.
Qualifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) with a current, unrestricted Ohio license.
- Proven wound care experience (required).
- Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to travel 100% within the assigned region (typically within 60 miles, but could be more on occasion).
Preferred
- Prior experience in post-acute or long-term care settings.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance in skilled nursing facilities.
