The Security Manager oversees the Security Associates while providing support to related services of the community to maintain the safety and security of Encore Village residents. guests and associates.RESPONSIBILITIES:o Supervises Security, First Responders and related independent contractors and/or vendors.o Responsible for creating schedules and assignments for Security Associates.o Prepares and maintains payroll for Security Associates.o Selects, hires, coaches, disciplines, and evaluates all Security Associates.o Conducts employee annual reviews for Security Associates.o Directs documentation of incident reports from Security Associates, reviews report after submission and investigates causative factors, when necessary.o Performs clerical related duties for department.o Maintains office supplies and orders supplies when needed.o Responsible for managing the Security capital and operating budgets.o Responsible for updating and submitting requested financial reports.· Responsible for key control for entire facility.o Responsible for the facility access control security and upkeep.o Responsible for mobility devices safety and mobility device safety rules compliance. Prepares, distributes, and maintains various databases and fotms for Associates and Residents.§ l. Responsible for contracts, services and maintenance related to alarms, emergencies, CCTV and security systems.· Responsible for research, implementation and execution of capital projects related to building and resident safety systems.o Serves on organizational committees as assigned.· Consistently demonstrates customer service excellence for our residents, guests, and fellow associates by performing job functions adhering to core values and teamwork concepts.o Maintains high profile visibility. seeking opportunities to assist residents, guests and employees.o Directs the emergency response protocol in residential living, common areas, and exterior grounds, to include identifying and communicating major trends in terms of concerns/issues, training new associates, and conducting refresher training for associates. Responds to incidents involving medical emergencies, fire, injured residents or associates, floods, elevator emergencies, power outages, and tornado warnings by following procedures established by Encore Village.o Interventions, when necessary, whenever conditions pose an immediate threat to life, health, damage to equipment or buildings.· Directs the enforcement of security policies pertaining to all departments.o Develop ongoing training and comprehensive education programs for residents and associates regarding safety and security. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Must be able to interact with front-line customers and regulatory agencies.• Requires a team oriented, self-motivated professional with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the associate base.• Demonstrates an ability to accomplish results through people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience.
