Encore Village is currently hiring for a Full-Time Barista 7:00-4:00 pm Monday- Friday and every other weekend in our Dining Services Department. A Barista is responsible for preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold beverages, primarily coffee and espresso drinks, while delivering excellent customer service. The role includes handling food and beverage preparation, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and ensuring customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks (espresso, lattes, cappuccinos, etc.) and teas according to standardized recipe.
Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee-making equipment.
Take customer orders and handle payments via cash or point-of-sale (POS) systems.
Provide friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable service to all guests.
Keep the cafe clean, stocked, and always organized.
Maintain hygiene and food safety standards.
Educate customers on coffee blends, brewing methods, and menu items.
Assist in opening and closing procedures.
Restock supplies and ingredients as needed.
Work collaboratively with team members and support other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in food service or customer service is preferred.
Knowledge of coffee and espresso preparation is a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
Basic math skills and familiarity with POS systems.
High school or GED preferred.
