Cloud Architect

This is a Lead Cloud Architect focused on migration execution

• Leading on-prem → cloud migrations (VMware-heavy)

• Working within a defined cloud strategy

• Expected to understand, execute, and thoughtfully challenge when needed

• Environment is legacy-heavy (.NET / Windows, mix of homegrown COTS apps)

Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead architectural design and configuration of cloud environments

• Lead migration efforts from on-prem to cloud

• Monitor and optimize cloud systems (security, performance, cost)

• Manage 3rd-party cloud service providers

• Ensure governance, controls, and project execution

Required Experience:

• 5 years in cloud technologies (IaaS, PaaS, containers)

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP (Azure preferred but flexible)

• 5 years VMware (ESX 6 )

• Strong networking (TCP/IP, DNS, OSPF, BGP, firewalls)

• Windows Linux experience

• Cloud certification required

• Experience designing mid-sized cloud environments

• Strong project management skills
