Position Summary

The Quality Engineer is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) within the electronics manufacturing facility. This position oversees the quality team, ensures compliance with industry standards and customer requirements, and drives certification initiatives including ISO 9001, TL9001, ISO45001, ISO14001 and WISE. The role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a proven ability to execute quality strategies that improve processes, reduce risk, and enhance overall operational success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Ø Quality Management System (QMS) Oversight

Ø Develop, implement, and maintain the facility’s QMS in alignment with ISO standards, WISE, and applicable regulatory requirements.

Ø Ensure quality policies and procedures are up to date and effectively communicated.

Ø Lead the planning and execution of internal and external audits.

Ø Develop inspection methods to analyze product quality.

Ø Team Leadership

Ø Manage, mentor, and develop the quality team, including quality inspectors.

Ø Assign responsibilities, monitor performance, and support professional growth.

Ø Promote a culture of accountability, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.

Ø Performance & Continuous Improvement

Ø Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for product quality, process performance, and customer satisfaction.

Ø Drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) activities.

Ø Implement Lean, Six Sigma, and other improvement methodologies to optimize operations and yields.

Ø Compliance & Certification

Ø Lead the facility through ISO 9001, WISE, and other certifications and maintain compliance thereafter.

Ø Act as the primary liaison with auditors, customers, and regulatory bodies.

Ø Customer & Supplier Interface

Ø Address quality issues raised by customers in a timely and professional manner.

Ø Collaborate with suppliers to ensure incoming materials meet quality standards.

Ø Develop and maintain strong relationships to support customer confidence and satisfaction.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.

· Minimum 5 years of experience in quality engineering or management within the electronics or manufacturing sector.

· Demonstrated experience in implementing and maintaining ISO 9001 QMS.

· Familiarity with WISE certification requirements preferred.

· Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (FMEA, SPC, 8D, CAPA, Lean Six Sigma).

· Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

· Bilingual (English/Spanish).

Working Conditions

  • Primarily on-site at the manufacturing facility.
  • May require occasional travel for audits, customer meetings, or training.
  • Requires interaction with production areas and exposure to standard manufacturing environments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
