Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Part Time Band Director to support our partner schools.
We are partnering with Mayer Lutheran High School for this position. It is to support the growth of the band programs at their K-8 feeder elementary schools.
Partner schools are located in:
- Chaska
- Cologne
- Glencoe
- Hamburg
- Mayer
- Norwood Young America
- Watertown
- Wayzata

Support and mentorship from current Encore Ensembles teachers offered!
Responsibilities
- Lead rehearsals, teach lessons, and coordinate performances for school bands
- Manage aspects of musical productions, including scheduling, set-up, and ensuring smooth execution of concerts and events.
- Teach small bands with unique instrumentation.
- Regular recruitment to support program growth.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents & school staff at our partner schools to ensure clear expectations and successful collaborations.
- Inspire leadership qualities among students by encouraging teamwork, discipline, and a passion for music.
Skills
- A degree in instrumental music education
- Experience teaching beginning band and intermediate band.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with various stakeholders and foster a positive learning environment.
- Passion for mentoring young musicians and promoting musical excellence through energetic instruction.
