Encore Design Services is seeking an experienced and passionate Design Studio Consultant to join our team and help create an exceptional homebuying experience. The Design Studio Consultant will partner with home buyers throughout the design selection process, helping them choose products, finishes, and upgrades that reflect their lifestyle, preferences, and vision for their new home. Success in this role requires strong product knowledge, sales aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess homebuyers’ needs, preferences, lifestyle requirements, and expectations to recommend appropriate design solutions and products for their new home.
· Consult with homebuyers to recommend, present, and sell cabinetry, countertops, flooring, tile, and related design upgrades that align with their style preferences, functional needs, and budget while maximizing customer satisfaction and sales opportunities.
- Guide and advise home buyers on interior design concepts, including color coordination and product selections.
- Educate homebuyers on available product options, upgrades, and customization opportunities.
- Provide detailed product information, including features, performance, durability, maintenance requirements, and value.
- Accurately document and process all customer selections using established systems, procedures, and builder requirements.
- Assist in resolving homeowner questions, concerns, and issues throughout the design selection process.
- Support all design center operations and homebuilder processes to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Communicate the design center process and the overall new-home buying journey effectively to homebuyers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with sales counselors and builder representatives across all communities and builders.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of showroom products, builder communities, and design trends.
- Attend all required Product Knowledge (PK) training and ongoing professional development opportunities.
- Contact buyers to schedule Design Studio appointments
- Manage builder timelines and ensure timely Lot file submissions.
- Meet or exceed required sales metrics, performance goals, and average sales targets.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2–4 years of design experience in the homebuilding, construction, or related industry.
- Minimum 2 years of sales experience with a proven ability to meet performance goals.
- Strong understanding of residential design principles, products, and materials.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as builder-specific systems and software.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven.
- Passion for design and creating exceptional customer experiences.
- Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with customers, sales teams, and builder partners.
- Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
- Available to work flexible hours as needed
- Valid driver's license required.
