Press Brake Operator - Sheet metal techinican

OPPORTUNITY: EMS Fabrication, based in Hooksett, NH, is a sheet metal fabricator and division of ENCON Evaporators who manufactures industrial wastewater tanks and equipment. The press brake Operator is an individual who can excel in a fast-paced sheetmetal shop and consistently produce accurate parts and components. This person must have a strong work ethic and be willing to learn and ask questions about the manufacturing processes. Press brake Operator will be responsible for operating press brakes, finishing equipment, slip rollers, and other required equipment within the department. Attention to safety, quality and on time delivery is required. Ability and understanding of blueprints is necessary for setup and running the machines.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Read and interpret blueprints and exploded views as required.
• Load, setup, run and breakdown machines with minimal assistance.
• Operate forklift in a safe manner.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and orderly.
• Ability to handle material safely.
• Use labor-reporting system/routing paperwork to track all time spent on all jobs.
• Deburring and finishing parts as needed according to prints.
• Conduct various QA inspections on parts to ensure quality and accuracy within tolerances specified on drawings.
• Ability to follow and execute a preventative maintenance schedule.
• Must communicate effectively with coworkers to ensure delivery schedules, customer requirements, and product improvements are met.
• Must be a dependable worker who can operate well in a team setting
• Position requires individual to be an independent and organized worker who can be given work orders to complete with little supervision after initial training.

QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE:

• Experience operating and maintaining the above referenced equipment. Experience with Trumpf lasers, press brakes and plate rollers is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent desired.
• Able to read mechanical engineered drawings (blueprints)/knowledge of engineered specified tolerances.
• Able to effectively change machine set-ups given various product lines and material requirements.
• Able to use precision measuring instruments such as square, protractor and caliper.
• Ability to use a PC including Microsoft Outlook and Excel and time tracking software.
• Willingness to be flexible and help out in other areas when needed to ensure jobs are completed on time and to help company meet objectives.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to regularly lift 40 lbs., and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs., and stand for long periods.
