The Role
As our Human Resources Generalist, you’ll be directly involved in shaping the workplace experience for our teams. You’ll be the go-to HR contact for both employees and leaders, working in a collaborative environment to resolve workplace challenges, manage recruitment and onboarding, and ensure compliance with HR policies and union agreements. You’ll be engaged in various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, payroll adjustments, and union communications—all while communicating effectively with our Spanish-speaking workforce.
Key Responsibilities

- Recruitment & Onboarding: Manage the recruitment and onboarding process, ensuring Spanish-speaking employees receive the proper support and resources to get started and succeed.
- Employee Relations: Handle employee relations cases and support conflict resolution with a focus on fostering a positive, bilingual work environment.
- Union Communications: Manage internal postings and union communications, ensuring clarity in both English and Spanish.
- HR Systems & Compliance: Maintain employee files, HR systems (ADP, JazzHR), and ensure compliance with labor laws, while assisting with payroll checks and adjustments.
- Investigation & Conflict Resolution: Use your bilingual skills to resolve employee concerns, supporting HR investigations and solutions that help foster a positive, compliant workplace.

The Person We’re Looking For
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- Fluent Spanish-speaking and English skills (both verbal and written) to effectively communicate with our predominantly Spanish-speaking workforce.
- Sound HR experience.
- Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to deal with sensitive issues.
- Working knowledge of employment law and HR systems (ADP, JazzHR preferred).
- A calm, approachable attitude and a desire to help others succeed.
- If you’re working toward or hold SHRM certification, it’s a bonus, but not essential.
