Encompass Medical Group is seeking a Full Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant within our Hickman Mills office. Position Accountabilities:
- Performs physical exams, preventive health measure, and acute care for both family medicine and internal medicine patients.
- Orders, interprets and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient’s health care needs.
- Records physical findings, and formulates plan and prognosis, based on patient’s condition.
- Discusses care with physician and other health professionals to prepare comprehensive patient care plans.
- Prescribes or recommends medications or other forms of treatment, such as physical therapy, inhalation therapy, or related therapeutic procedures.
- May refer patients to physician for consultation or to specialized health resources for treatment.
Qualifications include:
- NP/PA licensure for Missouri and Kansas
- Successful completion of accredited nurse practitioner/physician assistant program
- Certification in Diabetic Education or ability to gain certification in this area
- Display of professionalism
- Extraordinary organizational ability
- Positive attitude with both patients and co-workers
- Sense of compassion and caring
- Excellent communication skills
