Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in need of personal care and daily living support. This role is vital in promoting independence, safety, and well-being for clients in their home. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient-centered care, excellent communication skills, and a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for those they serve.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor and observe patients' health status, noting any changes or concerns for reporting to healthcare professionals
- Manage care plans in accordance with HIPAA regulations and healthcare protocols
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and preparation
- Support patients with mobility using assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts or transfer belts while ensuring safety procedures are followed
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks and adhering to infection control standards
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Document patient care activities accurately and maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Assist with specialized care such as Alzheimer's/dementia care, hospice support, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorders
- Follow established care plans and participate in ongoing training related to patient monitoring, vital signs, CPR/First Aid certification, and other relevant skills
Qualifications
- Prior experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care settings preferred
- Experience working with Children of all ages
- Certifications such as CPR
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy standards required
- Experience working with people with disabilities,
- Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing health changes
- Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills and patience for working with diverse populations
- Valid driver's license preferred for travel between client locations if applicable
- Ability to work independently while following detailed care plans and instructions
