Duties
- Assist residents and clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Following care plans and HIPAA regulations
- Support patients with autism, or other developmental disabilities through specialized behavioral care
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, observations, and any changes in condition
- Follow prescribed care plans developed by healthcare professionals or social workers
- Respond promptly to emergency situations with appropriate first aid or CPR when required
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient support and safety
Qualifications
- Prior experience in home
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques
- Certifications such as CPR
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism is a plus
- Strong communication skills and compassionate attitude toward residents and their families
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and privacy
- Valid driver’s license may be required for certain roles involving community visits or transportation duties
- Ability to work flexible hours including shifts that may involve evenings or weekends depending on the setting
