POSTED ON 9/13/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 10/12/2026
Title: Platform Scrum Master for Data & Analytics
Location: Houston, TX (Onsite)
C2C/W2

Position Overview:
Looking for a highly experienced Platform Scrum Master / Release Train Engineer (RTE) to support a large Data & Analytics (D&A) platform consisting of multiple Agile teams and multiple products/workstreams.  This is a senior, highly visible role requiring someone who can operate beyond an individual Scrum team and drive coordination, execution, dependencies, and delivery across the broader platform.
The ideal candidate will have 8–10 years of Agile delivery experience, with strong hands-on SAFe/RTE experience and a solid understanding of Data & Analytics platforms, cloud infrastructure, data engineering, applications, integrations and enterprise technology. The candidate must be an excellent facilitator, delivery leader and problem solver who can manage complex dependencies across multiple teams and products.

Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the Platform Scrum Master / RTE for multiple Data & Analytics Agile teams supporting a common enterprise platform and portfolio of products.
Provide program-level Agile leadership across multiple Scrum teams, ensuring alignment of team priorities, PI objectives, product roadmaps and enterprise D&A strategy.
Lead and facilitate SAFe ceremonies, including PI Planning, Pre-PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, PO Sync, System Demo, Inspect & Adapt and other ART-level events.
Own the coordination and execution of Program Increments, ensuring teams establish realistic commitments, identify dependencies and remain aligned to PI objectives.
Work closely with Product Owners, Product Managers, Architects, Engineering Leads, Data Engineers, Data Scientists and technical SMEs to translate product priorities into executable delivery plans.
Manage complex cross-team and cross-product dependencies, ensuring sequencing, integration points, shared services, environments and technical constraints are clearly identified and actively managed.
Drive resolution of impediments, risks, issues and delivery blockers, escalating appropriately when decisions or leadership intervention are required.
Maintain visibility into platform-level delivery, milestones, dependencies, risks, capacity, velocity, predictability and PI objective achievement.
Coordinate delivery across multiple D&A capabilities such as data platforms, data engineering, analytics, reporting, data pipelines, APIs, cloud platforms, data integration and enterprise applications.
Work with technical leadership to understand and manage dependencies involving cloud infrastructure, servers, networking, databases, security, DevOps, environments and platform services.
Facilitate effective backlog management, prioritization, refinement, sprint planning and release planning across multiple teams and products.
Ensure features, enablers, stories and technical work are sufficiently refined, estimated and sequenced before entering delivery.
Track team capacity and resource constraints across the platform and proactively identify situations where competing priorities may impact delivery.
Establish and maintain ART-level dashboards and Agile metrics, including velocity, throughput, predictability, flow, dependencies, impediments, PI objectives and delivery trends.
Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to identify delivery risks and capacity constraints early, providing recommendations and options for resolution.
Coordinate release readiness, integration testing, UAT, production readiness and deployment activities across dependent D&A products and platform teams.
Ensure appropriate coordination between D&A teams and broader Infrastructure, Cloud, Cybersecurity, Network, Enterprise Architecture and Application teams.
Facilitate executive and stakeholder communications, providing clear visibility into progress, risks, dependencies, decisions, blockers and upcoming milestones.
Support Inspect & Adapt and continuous improvement, identifying systemic issues across teams rather than addressing only individual team-level problems.
Coach Scrum Masters, Product Owners and Agile teams on SAFe principles, Agile practices, flow optimization, dependency management and effective delivery execution.
Promote an environment of accountability, transparency and collaboration while removing organizational and technical barriers to delivery.

Required Qualifications:
8–10 years of experience in Scrum Master, Agile Delivery, Program Management, RTE or similar enterprise technology roles.
Certified Scrum Master certification is must.
SAFe is mandatory, with significant hands-on experience operating as an RTE or in an RTE-level capacity across multiple Agile teams.
Strong experience leading PI Planning, ART Sync, Scrum of Scrums, System Demos, Inspect & Adapt, PI Objectives and ART-level dependency management.
Demonstrated experience supporting Data & Analytics, Data Engineering, Cloud Data Platforms, Analytics Platforms or enterprise technology platforms.
Strong understanding of data engineering and analytics ecosystems, including data pipelines, databases, APIs, data integration, cloud platforms, analytics/reporting and enterprise data products.
Strong technical understanding of enterprise infrastructure and cloud environments, including servers, networking, databases, storage, virtualization and cloud services.
Experience coordinating across Data, Application, Infrastructure, Cloud, Security, Network and Architecture teams.
Strong experience with Azure DevOps, Jira or similar Agile delivery platforms for backlog, sprint, dependency, metrics and reporting management.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple products, multiple teams and competing priorities simultaneously within a complex enterprise environment.
Excellent facilitation, communication, conflict-resolution, stakeholder-management and executive presentation skills.
Ability to operate independently, challenge delivery assumptions, identify systemic issues and drive teams toward measurable outcomes.
