As a Staff Accountant, you will play an essential role in supporting the financial health and integrity of the organization. This entry-level accounting position focuses on day-to-day financial activities, including maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting monthly and year-end close processes. You’ll work closely with other members of the accounting team to ensure financial accuracy, support compliance, and contribute to process improvement initiatives across the department.
Position Logistics- Primary Work Location: West Fargo, ND Corporate Office
- Work Environment: On-Site
- Work Schedule: Monday - Friday | Standard Hours
- Work Type: Full Time (40 hours/week)
Position Responsibilities
Financial Close & Reporting
- Assist with timely monthly, quarterly, half-year, and year-end close processes
- Prepare journal entries and accruals, ensuring completeness and accuracy
- Prepare and maintain monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements
- Perform general ledger reviews and account reconciliations
- Assist with monthly financial statement analysis and reporting
Accounts Payable & Transactional Support
- Verify and process invoices to ensure timely and accurate payment of accounts payable
- Ensure proper coding and allocation of expenses to the appropriate accounts
- Maintain records of financial transactions in accordance with company policies
Fixed Assets & Capital Accounting
- Track capital purchases, fixed assets, and building improvements
- Maintain fixed asset schedules and ensure proper depreciation entries
Compliance, Policies & Special Projects
- Ensure all financial transactions are recorded in compliance with legal and internal standards
- Monitor and support accounting procedures within assigned departments
- Identify and recommend opportunities for improving accounting processes
- Prepare special financial reports and analysis as requested by management.
We're Seeking Individuals Who Have:
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate level), experience with fixed asset software and ERP systems is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and a commitment to accuracy in all aspects of financial management.
- Collaboration: Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with a professional approach to managing sensitive and confidential information.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across departments and manage professional business relationships.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 1 year of general accounting experience
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills preferred
- Experience using a fixed asset software is a plus
