The Encinitas School District is looking for individuals interested in assisting with the After School Choir Program. The Choir Program is being offered at each of our nine (9) schools. There are currently six openings in total - one each at Capri, El Camino Creek, La Costa Heights, Mission Estancia, Ocean Knoll, Olivenhain Pioneer, and Park Dale Lane Elementary Schools. Duties include: providing musical guidance to students and create a safe, orderly and inclusive learning environment; utilizing a variety of instructional techniques appropriate to student’s interests and abilities, and motivating students to develop an interest in and an appreciation of the art of music. Salary:
$1,100 stipend per Session - up to 3 hours per week plus training meetings and performances
Length of Work Year:
Fall Session: Sept. 8, 2026 - Dec. 19, 2026 (13 weeks)
Spring Session: Feb. 2, 2027 - May 29, 2027 (15 weeks)
Schedule:
1.25 hours practice per week (2:30 - 3:45pm), plus prep/set up time = Up to 3 TOTAL hours per week. Day of practice will vary by school site.
Performance:
One performance per session. Up to 1 hour for the performance, up to 1 hour prep, and up to 3 hours rehearsals. Day and time of performance to be determined and will likely take place in the evening during the week.
Assemblies:
Possible monthly school assemblies, dependent on school site and schedule availability. Each assembly will be up to 1 hour.
NOTE: This posting will be closed based on applicant pool/district needs.
Successful candidates will be required to pass fingerprint background check, physical and drug screen and provide negative Tuberculin Skin Test result prior to working in Encinitas Union School District. TB test at applicant's expense. Fingerprinting/Physical/Drug screen paid by EUSD. An original Social Security Card is required at the time of hire.
