About Us
Encinitas Soccer League (a.k.a. Express Soccer Club) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Since 1977, we have served the communities of Encinitas, South Carlsbad and Cardiff by providing quality soccer programs for players ages 5 to 19 years old. Over 2,000 children participate in our program each year. Express SC is a US Youth Soccer approved club.
Overview
In collaboration with club directors, the 9v9 Program Coordinator creates a positive environment for all players within the club to play, learn and develop. The Program Coordinator leads the coaching staff and manages the day-to-day operations for all teams within their jurisdiction to ensure that overall program and age-group goals are met.
The Program Coordinator oversees the technical development of our competitive players and coaches.
Responsibilities
- Under supervision of Director of Coaching, will oversee and manage coaches within the 9v9 age group (boys and girls U11 & U12).
- Implement curriculum for 9v9 age group. Support coaches with the development of practice plans
- Evaluate coach training sessions, provide feedback to coaches and keep directorship group updated on progress of goup
- Implement recruitment and retention plan for players within age group
- Attend all mandatory staff meetings, coaches' meetings, other management style meetings, tryouts, tournaments
- Potential opportunity to coach team(s)
Qualifications
- Experience coaching youth soccer a the competitive level (minimum of 3 years)
- Energetic
- Strong communicator
- Highly confident
- Articulates themselves well when addressing large groups in person
- Well organized, and pays close attention to detail
- Strong leader with people management skills
- Prepared to do weekly office hours (as needed), while working closely & harmoniously with current Express SC staff
- Ability to work effectively with children, parents, volunteers & community stakeholders.
- Has the capabilities to meet all deadlines
- Comes with ideas on how to strengthen & grow programs
- Has experience in sports management, program coordination, or a related field
- Can resolve conflicts & solve problems in a timely manner with maximum professionalism & efficiency
- Is available to be onsite for trainings, games, camps/clinics, tournaments
- Has a firm grasp of how youth sports organizations must operate logistically
Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
