Retail Sales Associate
Part-Time
Basic Function:
To represent the resort to the guest throughout all stages of the guest's stay. Provides exemplary service to guests and employees in the form of friendly assistance and knowledge of Retail Shops merchandise, as well as resort facilities and services. Retail Shops consist of Gift Shop, Spa at The Tides Inn, Pro Shop at The Golden Eagle and the retail in the Fish Hawk oyster bar.
Work Performed:
- Accurate charging of merchandise in the point-of-sale system.
- Accurate handling of cash procedures.
- Knowledge of computer cash register and POS systems.
- Knowledge of merchandise.
- Responsible for overall cleanliness of the Retail Shops
- Assist with stocking store.
- Assist co-workers and perform all Retail Shops duties.
- Complete other projects as assigned by the Retail Manager.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Prior retail experience preferred.
- Good communication skills necessary.
Physical Requirements:
- 5% Sitting
- 95% Walking and Standing
- Lifting/Carrying 15-30 pounds.
- Hearing and Manual dexterity.
- Computer Screen reading 1-3 feet.
