ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Sourcing Product Assistant to support our product development and sourcing operations. This role is ideal for someone who can bridge the gap between concept and production by working closely with suppliers and internal teams to bring new product ideas to life. You will play a key role in identifying reliable partners, coordinating samples, and ensuring product quality and timelines are met in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Supplier Sourcing & Research

• Identify, evaluate, and source potential suppliers and manufacturers across global regions
• Assess factory capabilities in relation to product design requirements, materials, construction, and production methods
• Research supplier certifications, pricing, MOQs, and overall reliability
• Build and maintain an organized database of vetted suppliers aligned with product categories and business needs

Factory Communication & Relationship Management

• Communicate detailed product requirements, including specifications, materials, dimensions, finishes, and functionality
• Act as a liaison between internal teams and suppliers to ensure alignment on expectations and deliverables
• Own day-to-day supplier communication and maintain consistent follow-up to ensure timelines and deliverables are met
• Troubleshoot issues related to feasibility, materials, or production constraints and propose solutions

Sample Coordination, Tracking & Quality Control

• Request, coordinate, and track product samples throughout the development lifecycle
• Evaluate samples against design specifications and quality standards; document and communicate feedback clearly
• Partner with suppliers to drive sample revisions, improvements, and quality control resolutions.

Product Development Support

• Assist in translating product concepts into clear sourcing briefs, including materials, specs, and pricing targets
• Support the full product development lifecycle from concept through sampling, revisions, and production readiness
• Gather quotes, timelines, and technical feedback from multiple suppliers to inform sourcing decisions

Tracking & Reporting

• Maintain organized tracking systems for supplier outreach, sample status, pricing comparisons, and development timelines
• Provide regular updates on progress, risks, and delays to cross-functional teams
• Proactively identify risks and propose solutions to keep projects on track
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and operations teams to ensure cohesive execution
• Maintain organized documentation and file management systems
• Perform related duties as assigned

COMPETENCIES

• Strong understanding of product development, sourcing processes, and manufacturing fundamentals
• Ability to interpret product specifications, tech packs, and design briefs
• Experience evaluating suppliers based on cost, quality, and technical capabilities
• Proficiency in Google Sheets, Excel, and project tracking tools
• Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills across cross-functional and external partners
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality control

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

4–6 year(s) of related experience in sourcing, product development, supply chain, or a related field
