Measurement Engineer III

As a Measurement Engineer III, you'll bring technical expertise and leadership to ensure accurate and reliable natural gas measurement across our operations. This role requires a strong understanding of measurement systems, project lifecycle management, and regulatory compliance. You will act independently with minimal oversight while providing guidance to field personnel and supporting critical projects that impact system safety, integrity, and reliability.

What You Will Do:

• Provide technical assistance to field personnel and identify gaps in processes or procedures.

• Ensure measurement facility equipment is designed, installed, and operated in accordance with company and industry standards.

• Review and approve measurement facility designs, procedures, and gas handling processes.

• Evaluate meter facilities and analyze data to reduce Lost and Unaccounted For gas (LAUF).

• Facilitate engineering reviews and coordinate with field personnel on projects.

• Support operational documentation requirements and assist with field audits.

• Serve as a critical resource within the Incident Command Structure during emergencies.

• Assist with data reports and respond to information requests from internal teams and third parties.

• Oversee scoping, bidding, and execution of construction work with contractors.

• Act as a mentor to less experienced engineers and technical staff.

Who You Are:

You Have:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related engineering field.

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in measurement or pipeline transmission industry.

• Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 50% (mostly domestic, some international may be required).

• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions when supporting field operations.

• Strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for diverse audiences.

Preferred:

• Experience with natural gas operations and measurement systems.

• Familiarity with telecommunications equipment related to measurement.

• Competency with Microsoft Office Suite.

• Knowledge of CFR 192 and other relevant codes.

Physical Requirements (Both Field & Office) include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
