Role Description
- Direct the planning, preparation, and execution of rate cases, tariff filings, and other regulatory activities in North Carolina
- Plan, manage and file general rate cases and other key regulatory applications
- Represent Enbridge as a regulatory subject matter expert by providing regulatory and financial direction and expertise to Management, Legal, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Key Accounts, Gas Supply, Government Affairs, Customer Care, Pre-Construction, and Communications departments
- Develop and prepare regulatory staff so that they can effectively prepare filings, analyses and participate in regulatory proceedings
- Manage, facilitate and implement the creation and resolution of corrective action plans in response to external regulatory enforcement actions
- Acts as an Enbridge representative at conferences, industry associations and sub-committees
Qualifications
- 15 years of directly related experience in progressive leadership roles.
- Post-secondary degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Engineering, or a related field
- General knowledge of revenue requirements, cost of service and rate design
- Experience preparing and filing and participating in general rate cases
- Experience working with state regulators
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships both internally and externally
- Stellar public speaking skills
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical topics to a non-technical audience and facilitate complex communications
- High proficiency with computer programs found in a typical office environment
- Demonstrated understanding of the utility business and dynamic regulatory environment
- Ability to establish trust with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders
