What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Receptionist position at Enawala Management Inc?
About Us
We run a tight, well-maintained property — not your average budget motel. Clean rooms, reliable systems, and a team that takes pride in the work. Guests notice the difference the moment they walk in, and that starts at the front desk. We're looking for someone who matches that standard.
What You'll Do
- Greet every guest with genuine energy — first impressions matter, and you set the tone
- Check guests in and out accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash, cards, and daily reconciliation with zero shortcuts — honesty is non-negotiable
- Answer phones, take reservations, and resolve guest questions or concerns on the spot
- Keep the front desk and lobby clean, organized, and guest-ready at all times
- Communicate clearly with housekeeping and maintenance on room status and issues
- Handle walk-ins, no-shows, and rate questions with good judgment
- Follow cash handling, safety, and security procedures without needing to be reminded
What We're Looking For
- Energy. You bring a good attitude to work, even on a slow Tuesday night or a slammed Saturday
- Integrity. You handle money and guest information the right way, every time, whether anyone's watching or not
- Ownership. You solve problems instead of waiting to be told what to do
- Reliability. You show up on time, every shift, and communicate early if something changes
- People skills. You can defuse a frustrated guest and make a tired traveler feel taken care of
- Prior front desk, hotel, or customer service experience preferred, not required
- Basic computer skills (PMS experience a plus, but we'll train the right person)
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed
Why Work Here
- Clean, professional, well-run property — you'll be proud to tell people where you work
- Stable hours and a manager who's actually present and invested in the team
- Room for growth if you're the kind of person who shows up and earns it
