Mobile RV Technician

En Route RV Services – Southwest Louisiana

En Route RV Services is looking for a Mobile RV Technician to join our expanding team serving Southwest Louisiana.

This is not a dealership job. Our technicians work independently in the field, troubleshooting problems, communicating directly with customers, and providing top-notch service at RV parks, homes, and storage facilities.

We are seeking a technician who takes pride in precise diagnostics, professional communication, and doing the job correctly the first time.

Service Area

This position serves a 50-mile radius from Sulphur, Louisiana. All work is performed on-site at customer locations.

Schedule

Full-time position

Monday – Friday (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) or
Tuesday – Saturday (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

Optional after-hours emergency service is available for technicians who want to increase earnings.

Position Overview

As a Mobile RV Technician, you will:

• Diagnose and repair RV systems in the field
• Work independently throughout the day
• Communicate directly with customers
• Document all work using mobile software
• Represent En Route RV Services professionally at every job

This role requires both technical skill and strong customer communication.

Core Technical Requirements

Technicians must be confident in diagnosing and repairing:

• RV air conditioning systems (highest priority skill)
• Electrical systems (12V & 120V)
• Water heaters
• Refrigerators
• Plumbing systems
• Slide-out systems
• General RV appliances and components

Strong diagnostic ability is required. This position is not a parts-changing position.

Required Qualifications

• Prior RV technician experience (dealership experience welcomed)
• Strong electrical and HVAC troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read schematics and technical manuals
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to work independently in a mobile service environment

Perferred Qualifications

RVTAA certification preferred (or equivalent experience)

Tools & Equipment

Technicians are expected to provide their basic professional tool set

En Route RV Services provides:

• Company service truck
• Ladders
• Specialty RV tools
• Select diagnostic equipment

Technology Requirements

Technicians must be comfortable using mobile technology, including:

• Work order apps ( ex: Markate, Jobber, House Call Pro )
• Photo documentation ( ex: Company Cam)
• Digital checklists
• Job notes and service records
• Communication with dispatch

Customer Experience Standards

Our technicians do more than repair RVs—they educate customers.

You will be expected to:

• Clearly explain the problem and cause
• Walk customers through repair options
• Provide preventative maintenance guidance
• Deliver service that builds trust and long-term relationships

Honesty and transparency with customers are non-negotiable.

What a Successful Technician Looks Like

A successful technician at En Route RV Services:

• Complete at least 3–4 service calls per day
• Diagnose issues accurately the first time
• Communicates clearly with every customer
• Documents work thoroughly with photos and notes
• Maintains a professional presence in the field
• Takes ownership of their schedule and performance

This position is NOT a good fit for technicians who:

• Prefer working in a shop environment
• Struggle with customer interaction
• Need constant supervision
• Are uncomfortable using mobile apps and technology
• Rely on trial-and-error instead of proper diagnostics
• Change parts until it's repaired
