EMTS Academy
Round Rock, TX Full Time
POSTED ON 8/8/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 12/6/2026

EMTS Academy is a leading Texas EMS education program, training the EMTs and paramedics who serve our communities every day. Our CoAEMSP-accredited Paramedic program is known for strong outcomes and a genuine commitment to student success — and we're growing, with a bold vision to become one of the best paramedic programs in the state and beyond.

The Opportunity — a clear path to Program Director

We're hiring an Assistant Program Director to help lead our accredited Paramedic program, with a defined, planned path into the Program Director role. You'll train directly alongside our current Program Director and, based on successful performance and meeting CoAEMSP Program Director qualifications, it is anticipated you will be promoted to Program Director within 6 months of hire.

If you're an experienced EMS educator ready to step into program leadership, this is a rare chance to grow into the top academic seat with real support and runway.

What you'll do

  • Help lead and continuously improve our accredited Paramedic program including curriculum, faculty, and student outcomes
  • Train directly with the Program Director toward assuming the Program Director role
  • Support accreditation excellence with CoAEMSP, DSHS (Texas), and the VA
  • Work hand-in-hand with the Medical Director, Lead Instructor, and Clinical Coordinator
  • Monitor student progression and champion student success from day one to graduation
  • Serve as backup Program Director during the training period

What we're looking for

An experienced EMS educator who meets (or can meet) CoAEMSP Program Director qualifications:

  • Possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree to direct a Paramedic program from an accredited institution of higher education (a Master’s degree is preferred)
  • Have appropriate medical or allied health education, training, and experience
  • Be knowledgeable about methods of instruction, testing and evaluation of students
  • Have field experience in the delivery of out-of-hospital emergency care
  • Have academic training and preparation related to emergency medical services at least equivalent to that of a paramedic
  • Be knowledgeable about the current versions of the National EMS Scope of Practice and National EMS Education Standards, and about evidenced-informed clinical practice
  • Current Texas Paramedic certification or equivalent (or able to obtain Texas Paramedic certification prior to the start date) with EMS field experience
  • Experience teaching or leading in EMS education
  • Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills, driven by student outcomes
  • Knowledge of EMS education regulations and accreditation — or the drive to master them quickly
  • Must be tobacco and nicotine-free (a condition of employment)

Why join us

  • A defined leadership path to Program Director
  • A mission that matters — you're building the medics who save lives
  • A growing, ambitious program that invests in its people and its students
  • A collaborative, mission-driven culture committed to student success
