We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining our fleet of waste collection and recycling vehicles. Responsibilities: Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on diesel trucks and heavy equipment. Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, hydraulics, and electrical systems. Conduct routine vehicle safety checks and maintain accurate service records. Respond to emergency breakdowns and perform field repairs when necessary. Ensure all work is performed in compliance with company safety policies and industry regulations. Communicate effectively with drivers and operations staff regarding vehicle issues. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are in good condition. Requirements: 2+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic, preferably in waste, recycling, or transportation industries. Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and diagnostics tools. Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred or willingness to obtain). Own basic hand tools; specialty tools provided by Emterra. Ability to lift 50+ lbs., bend, kneel, and work in outdoor conditions as needed.
