What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Engineer Intern position at EMT International?
The Quality Engineer Intern will support the Quality Department in developing, implementing, and maintaining quality systems and processes. This role provides hands-on experience in problem-solving, process improvement, and quality assurance within a manufacturing environment. The intern will work closely with engineers, technicians, and production teams to ensure products meet customer and company standards.
Quality Engineer Intern Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and maintaining quality documentation, including work instructions, inspection checklists, and process control plans.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective action activities for non-conformances.
- Participate in audits of internal processes and supplier performance.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret quality data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Assist in calibration tracking, verification, and recordkeeping.
- Support the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives within the Quality Department.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and drive process improvements.
Quality Engineer Intern Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic understanding of quality systems, inspection methods, or lean manufacturing concepts (preferred).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
