Mechanical Assembler – Contract Manufacturing
Hobart, WI | Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
EMT International is looking for a hands-on Mechanical Assembler to join our Contract Manufacturing team. In this role, you’ll assemble mechanical components, subassemblies, and finished products while working closely with production, engineering, and quality teams in a collaborative manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Do
- Assemble mechanical components and subassemblies using hand and power tools
- Read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, and work instructions
- Perform fitting, alignment, and adjustment of components
- Inspect parts and completed assemblies to ensure quality standards are met
- Maintain accurate production and quality documentation
- Support 5S and continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist with packaging, crating, and other production-related tasks as needed
- Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
What We’re Looking For
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Experience in manufacturing or contract manufacturing preferred
- Ability to use hand tools, drills, torque tools, and measuring equipment
- Ability to read assembly drawings and work instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- High school diploma or GED required
- ERP/MRP experience (Epicor, SAP, Oracle, etc.) is a plus
