Corporate Counsel

EMSL Analytical, Inc., one of the nation’s premiere laboratory testing facilities, is seeking a Full Time Corporate Counsel located in its corporate headquarters in Cinnaminson, NJ. The ideal candidate will have at least 3-5 years of experience, be a motivated self-starter comfortable interfacing with executive management and responsible for interfacing with all divisions within the Company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Interfacing with Executive Management                                                                                                      
Perform legal research and analysis                                                                                                                                     
Overseeing, in connection with the Director of Human Resources, all employment matters on a national scale in the United States and Canada 
Research, anticipate and protect the Company against legal risks; including interfacing with company’s insurance brokers; manage company’s insurance claims
Draft and review reports and other legal documents
Review real estate transactions, building purchase agreements and agreements related to construction matters, lease and negotiation

Requirements:
Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school 
At least 3 to 5 years of experience as a practicing Attorney
Must be actively licensed in New Jersey
Familiarity with commercial transactions, liability evaluations and contract negotiations
Strong analytical reasoning, writing, and organization skills are essential
Must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral 
Background check and Drug Screen is required 

Available Shift: 
Position is full-time, Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. OR  8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in office.  Extra hours and/or weekend work may be required to meet business demands.
