MECHANICAL DESIGNER - HYBRID POSITION (3 days in office/2 days home)Whether you bring years of industry experience or you are a fast learner with strong foundational CAD skills, we want to hear from you.Key ResponsibilitiesSteel Fabrication Design: Create accurate 2D fabrication, details, and assembly for custom steel fabrication and structural components.Concrete Pad and Foundation Design: Design and draft concrete equipment pads and foundations, ensuring proper dimensions, clearances, and structural requirements.Mechanical Drafting: Assist the engineering team with various mechanical designs, layouts, and assembly drawings.Documentation: Generate clear, manufacturing-ready drawing packages and maintain organized project files.Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, fabricators, and project managers to ensure designs meet project specifications and are highly manufacturable.Qualifications & SkillsStrong proficiency in AutoCAD 2D is required.Understanding of basic mechanical engineering principles, steel fabrication processes, and drafting standards.Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and specifications.Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Experience Level: 3 to 5 years of relevant drafting/design experience is a strong plus. However, this is not strictly required. We are happy to train the right candidate who possesses a strong technical aptitude and proficiency in AutoCAD.
