Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Senior Field Service Engineer to join our growing team. In this advanced-level role, you will perform testing, calibration, preventative maintenance, installation, and repair on a wide range of equipment, including laboratory instrumentation, medical devices, kiosk systems, and high-voltage UPS and power distribution equipment.
You will serve as a key customer-facing representative, delivering exceptional service while contributing to team performance and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform on-site preventative maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, calibrations, and system upgrades
- Install, test, and verify functionality of equipment across multiple platforms
- Serve as a subject matter expert across various products and technical modalities
- Support intermediate to highly complex service work
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and operational success
- Follow EMSAR and OEM quality standards, procedures, and compliance requirements
- Manage and document all service activities in the CMMS system
- Provide timely service updates, reporting, and escalation communication
What we’re looking for:
- High School diploma or equivalent and
- 8 years’ technical experience
- Valid driver license
- Ability to drive personal, fleet and/or rental vehicles
Or
- Associates degree, Trade school or bachelor’s degree
- 6 years’ technical experience
- 1 year program or project management
- Intermediate level computer system and program experience
- Valid driver license and liability insurance
- Ability to drive personal, fleet and/or rental vehicles
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry-recognized professional certification
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Extended periods of sitting while documenting service activities
- Prolonged standing and walking during field service work
- Frequent bending, squatting, and stair climbing
- Regular use of both hands to handle tools and perform detailed tasks
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move up to 125 lbs when necessary
- Willingness to travel regionally, including occasional overnight stays
