As a Yard Jockey at EMR, you’ll play a key role in our daily operations at our St. Paul site. In this role, you’ll be responsible for moving van trailers throughout the yard, positioning trailers at the appropriate loading docks, and supporting shipping and receiving. This role combines tractor-trailer operation, forklift operation and inventory processing.

About the Opportunity
As a Yard Jockey at EMR, you’ll play a key role in our daily operations at our St. Paul site. In this role, you’ll be responsible for moving van trailers throughout the yard, positioning trailers at the appropriate loading docks, and supporting shipping and receiving. This role combines tractor-trailer operation, forklift operation and inventory processing.
Key Responsibilities
- Move and position van trailers throughout the yard using a tractor-trailer
- Maneuver trailers to the appropriate loading docks
- Load and unload trailers using a forklift
- Weigh and accurately record trailer inventory information for shipping and receiving
- Previous CDL driving experience
- Experience maneuvering trailers in a yard or similar environment, preferred
- Previous experience operating forklifts, loading/unloading trucks, or shipping and receiving
- Ability to safely operate a forklift and yard tractor
- Ability to lift and handle 50 pounds
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
- Monday – Saturday, 7:00am-4:30pm
- $25-28/hour, full-time, year-round
